Coastal Compass was founded on the belief that genuine, compassionate support has the power to transform lives—both personally and professionally. Our story began with our founder’s experiences in Northern Alberta, Canada, where she spent over a decade witnessing and supporting people navigating the challenges of high-pressure industries such as mining, oilfield, and construction. Through this work, she saw firsthand the toll that long hours, remote living, and demanding roles can take on individuals and their families. These insights inspired the creation of Coastal Compass here in New Zealand—a space designed to provide the same level of understanding, support, and practical care that was so deeply needed in those environments. At Coastal Compass, our approach is gentle yet impactful, supportive yet practical. We understand the importance of being seen, heard, and supported without judgment or labels. Our services are designed to help employees, employers, and families navigate the complexities of work and life with resilience and confidence. While we provide a range of health-related services, including pre- and post-employment health screenings, our wellbeing support is not a medical service. Instead, it focuses on connection, prevention, and empowering people with tools to maintain balance and wellbeing in all areas of life.
